How to Setup and Configure WFA: Step-by-step (v2)

The purpose of this article is to provide the steps for setting up and configuring HYPR’s Workforce Access client on your workstations.

Planning

  1. Review the AD domain environment

    1. Determine if your workstations are domain joined. If yes, then you will need to follow instructions for the Advanced Installation (see step 2, requirements for Advanced Installation)

  2. If workstations are domain joined, review WFA Advanced Install Requirements

    2. Note for Advanced Installation these two variables should be enabled in the Tenant Management Portal via a request to the HYPR Support team:

      • CONTROL_CENTER_WORKFORCE_ACCESS_ADVANCED_MODE_MAC

      • CONTROL_CENTER_WORKFORCE_ACCESS_ADVANCED_MODE_WINDOWS

    2. Make sure Smart Card Authentication service is enabled on the workstations

    1. Once the installation in the environment is verified, you will need to set up your MDM to distribute the WFA client to your employees' workstations.
