Resolve FIDO2 registration-related issues when FIDO2 is enabled and no response comes back from the browser when either the Computer or Security Key option is clicked on the Device Manager page.

Issue Description

  1. The user opens a Magic Link URL.

  2. The user is navigated to Device Manager page and given three options to pair:

    • Smartphone

    • Security Key

    • Computer

  3. Click the Computer or Security Key icon. Notice that the notification to use security key or fingerprint is missing.

  4. There is no error trace visible in CC ControlCenter.log and a simultaneous API call to /devicemanager/fido2/testQRWebApplication/attestation/options returns an error 200.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to Control Center > RP Application > FIDO2 Settings.

  2. Ensure that Client Origin URL is fully lowercase.
